* On March 29th, Dr. Kimberly Vacca set up an account for Evan to help his family with his ongoing care. Contributions may be made at any Citizen's Banking Company in care of the Evan Goretzki Fund.

* Saturday September 25th 2004 at 5:00 PM The Sandusky American Legion and friends, will host Evan Goretzki Fun Night. This event will be fun for the entire family complete with dinner buffet, silent auction, clowns, magicians, caricatures, a disc jockey, face painting, 50/50 drawings and much more. Everyone is welcome and Evan will be attending. Price is $8.00 adults / $4.00 kids / Under 5 FREE. Reservations are not needed and tickets will be available at the door. * Lori Hephner will be hosting a Mary Kay fundraiser for Evan. She will be taking orders between now and Sept 4th. 50% of the profits from those orders will be donated to Evan's care. Anyone placing an order of $40 or more will be entered into a drawing for a gift basket full of Mary Kay products. Catalogs are available by calling (419) 433-0723. * The MATTHEW S GARDNER MEMORIAL will host their annual Golf Scramble on Sunday July 25, 2004. This year the wonderful people on the committee decided to donate the proceeds to the Evan Goretzki Fund. Please click here to get and print the registration form. * The company, Modern Woodman of America offered to match the funds of the Golf Scramble (Up to $2,500.00).

* Texas Holdem Poker Benefit for Evan Goretzki On Sunday May 16, 2004 at 2:00PM at The Huron Yacht Club (Chuck Seigel of HYC has kindly donated use of his facility.) * Pierres Quickprint is distributing FREE Evan Goretzki prayer cards. They are being donated (while supplies last) by Pierre, a dear friend of Jeffs. You are welcome to stop by the store on Cleveland Road in Sandusky, Ohio to pick one up.

* Wranglers for Ropers 4-H Club will be hosting an Evan Goretzki Car Wash on Sunday May 16th from 10:00AM - 4:00PM in front of Sandusky Wal-Mart. They will give 50% of the proceeds to the Evan Goretzki fund!

* On Friday May 7th, 5:00PM-8:00PM, the Clarion Hotel (Sandusky Mall Location) will host a spaghetti dinner and for Evan. Anne Davis will co-host a silent auction during the dinner. Reservations are not needed. For more information please contact Mary, Jules or Debbie at 419/625-6280.

* Dr. Terry Wiseman came up with the idea "Pennies For Evan". After confirming with Meadowlawn principal, Jude Andres, a district wide effort was born. Perkins Schools will begin collecting "Pennies For Evan" starting Tuesday March 30, 2004 and will run through Thursday April 8, 2004.

* Tara Rosin at Tara-Ashley's Salon informed us today that on Sunday April 25th, the salon will host a Cut-A-Thon Sunday April 25th, 1PM-4:00PM at Tara-Ashley's Salon on Perkins Ave. Sandusky. Sorority Beta Sigma Phi will host A BAKE SALE during the Cut-A-Thon and are excepting donations of money and baked goods. For more information please call Mary, Jules or Debbie at 419/625-6280.

* April 25th, Perkins HS will be hosting an Art Fair/Evan Goretzki Fundraiser. This event will be at the high school from 1:00PM - 6:00PM. Please watch here for more information.

* A BAKE SALE is scheduled for Evan on Saturday April 10th in front of Sandusky Wal-Mart. The bake sale is 10:00AM - 2:00PM.
* * * UPDATE * * * From Mary and Tara - The bakesale went extremely well! Not only did we recieve tons of donations, but we made a lot of money! It was so cool to see people donating $20.00 for a small plate of cookies. Another emotional part of the day was when one of my good friends, Jenni, pulled up to the bakesale with the entire back of her van filled with beautiful cakes, cupcakes and cookies. She must have spent hours making everything. This brought tears to our eyes. Thank You!!

* Sandusky Central Catholic Jr. High School will be doing an in-school benefit for Evan. On Thursday April 8th, the students will not have their usual pizza lunch but will instead have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and donate the $3.00 lunch fee to the Evan Goretzki Fund.

* The Great Bear Lodge drained their fountain, swept up all the coins and donated them to the Evan Goretzki Fund.

* Townsend School 6th grade class held a Cleveland Indians Ticket raffle and students were able to purchase thickets. This was a huge success and made a lot of money for the Evan Goretzki Fund.

* Master Hess's Karate Studio (Where Evan trained for 1 year) will host a Kick-A-Thon On Thursday April 22, 2004. Proceeds will support the Evan Goretzki Fund.
